Introduction
Niranjan Jyoti Borah is an Assistant Professor (Technical) in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Assam Engineering College (AEC), Guwahati, with over 12 years plus of experience in engineering education. His research focuses on Gallium Nitride (GaN)-based High Electron Mobility Transistors (HEMTs), semiconductor device modeling, TCAD simulation, nanoelectronics, and high-power/high-frequency semiconductor devices, with particular emphasis on the analytical modeling and simulation of GaN-based HEMTs for two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) transport and device performance analysis. Beyond research, he actively contributes to curriculum development, laboratory establishment, project supervision, student mentoring, academic and examination administration, and the organization of faculty development programmes, workshops, internships, expert lectures, and industry–academia collaborations. His academic interests include semiconductor education, outcome-based engineering education, and experiential learning through industry-oriented teaching and training.
